Pressing Sonatera Grapes at Siduri

Dianna and Adam Lee of Siduri Wines produce world class appellation and vineyard designate Pinot Noirs. Siduri debuted to great critical success when Dianna and Adam created a small quantity of Pinot Noir from the 1994 vintage. Siduri now produces Pinot Noir from vineyards as far north as Oregon's Willamette Valley and as far south as Santa Barbara County's Santa Rita Hills.

Adam and Dianna believe that great wine is made in the vineyard. “Only with great grapes can we produce great wines. We also believe in minimal interventionist winemaking. Most importantly, we believe that wine should be a pleasure to drink, and our Pinot Noirs are made to be enjoyed with good friends and good food.”

Soliste Cellars is collaboration between long-time friends Claude Koeberle and Donald Plumley to produce premium caliber, vineyard designate wines of extremely limited production. In their quest to produce the finest wines, Claude and Don believe that vineyard choice is the single most important decision they can make. They carefully select vineyards unique for their combination of terroir, geography, climate, unique clone blend, low yields and sustainable growing practices to produce the exceptional grapes that become Soliste. Claude and Don are delighted to have Sonatera Vineyard for their Signature Pinot Noir.

About the name: Claude tells us that in Burgundy, a winemaker often reserves a barrel for their family and friends. They call this special barrel "Soliste." Claude and Don hope you enjoy their wine with great food and in the company of those you cherish - just as they do.
